The wedding was held in one of the most luxurious mansions on the coast.
The enormous building was situated right on top of a high rock. Its panoramic windows offered a view of the sea, and it was surrounded by manicured gardens with white gazebos and fountains. Dozens of guests attended the event: well-known businesspeople, owners of large companies, politicians, and wealthy relatives of the bride.
The bride’s father had invested a huge amount of money in this wedding.
He wanted to show everyone his status and organize a celebration that would be talked about for many years.
Everything was perfect from the morning. The bride, named Victoria, felt like a true queen of the evening.
She gladly accepted the congratulations and smiled at the guests, until something happened that instantly ruined her mood.
An elderly woman in a wheelchair slowly entered the main hall.
She was the groom’s mother.
She wore an old, faded dress and a worn gray scarf. Compared to the elegantly dressed guests, the woman looked very humble.
Several people immediately noticed her.
Some began to whisper.
Others looked at the groom in surprise.
Victoria felt anger begin to boil inside her.
She knew perfectly well that her future husband’s mother lived in poverty, in a small house on the outskirts of the city. Her fiancé had never hidden this fact and always helped his mother financially.
However, Victoria hoped the woman would not attend the celebration.
Approaching the groom, she asked him in a low voice:
—Why didn’t you tell me she was coming?
“She’s my mother, of course she’ll come,” he replied calmly.
But Victoria could hardly hear anymore.
She grew increasingly angry as she noticed the stares of her wealthy relatives.
After a while, it seemed to her that some guests were even making fun of the elderly woman in a wheelchair.
Actually, nobody paid any special attention to the groom’s mother, but Victoria was so obsessed with the opinions of others that she began to see mockery where there was none.
That’s when a terrible plan appeared in his mind.
The mansion was only a few dozen meters from the edge of a huge cliff.
On one side there was an observation platform where guests came out to take pictures.
Victoria decided to take advantage of it.
She approached her mother-in-law and suddenly spoke very kindly.
The woman was even surprised by so much attention.

The mother-in-law thanked her and accepted.
None of the guests noticed when the bride began pushing the wheelchair toward the viewing platform.
They were slowly moving away from the mansion.

When rescuers examined the cliff face, they discovered that coastal reinforcement work was underway in the area. Large construction nets and safety platforms for the workers had been installed days earlier.
It was precisely on one of those nets that the wheelchair fell.
The old woman survived.
He suffered some blows and a broken arm, but he was conscious.
Furthermore, one of the workers had witnessed the moment of the fall.
At first he thought it was an accident.
However, he then told the rescuers a strange detail.
Before falling, the chair remained motionless on the edge for several seconds, and then someone pushed it abruptly.
These words prompted investigators to carefully review the security camera footage.
It turned out the mansion had a security system. One of the cameras was installed on the building’s facade and partially captured the observation deck.
The video quality was sufficient to see the main points.
The recording clearly showed Victoria intentionally pushing the wheelchair.
Hours after the investigation began, the whole truth came to light.
The guests were shocked.
